Beginning 

The end of this school year marks the beginning of my son’s official school education. Kindergarten begins in August. 

An ending. A beginning. 

He had an extra year of preschool play that kids just 20 days  older did not automatically get. It has served him well. He is no longer a baby. He is focused, imaginative. He is ready. 

An ending. A beginning. 

There will be no other like him in our lives. I’m talking of more than his unique soul and being. There will be no more preschool for us either. This will be our first kindergarten as parents.
