Inside the mind

June 28, 2017

I love the little glimpses I am fortunate to get from my son’s mind. His 5 3/4-year-old brain organizes things and is quite specific, a trait I gather he inherited from me.

Still, visual displays of how he likes to organize things are interesting to me. Like this ordering of these little plastic covers he collects. He left these on the floor like this for at least 2 days, maybe 3. I had accidentally kicked a few out of line before I took the photo. This was quickly corrected.

For the past four days, he’s been dressing all in blue. Yes, undies, socks, pants and shirt. Colors are important to him. They always have been. I don’t know why yet, but it sure seems a nice enough thing to support.

I can’t wait to see what he gets up to next.

I find it sort of nice not knowing the why of his color ordering.
