Triumph of Spirit
Do what you can’t. Go on when you can’t. I’m detecting a theme of incoming messages to me recently. Ironically, one was a Samsung ad and the other an email from The Daily Stoic from celebrated writers.
The message takes priority over the medium. They both capture something at the greatest depths of human growth.
We are stronger than we think. We don’t, we mustn’t collapse when the chips are down. We may need to, for a few moments, and then we must persevere. We see it all around the world every day. When countless communities are hit with unfathomable tragedies. And they mourn together. And they mourn alone. And then they pick up the pieces. They reform when needed, sometimes differently than they were before and often quite stronger because they have seen so much darkness.
And they will find they had capacity they couldn’t even fathom. That’s the beauty and strength of human spirit.
Reminds me of the quote: You don’t know how strong you are until being strong is all you have.
