Deadline for your disillusionment
May 12, 2017
You can feel sorry for yourself. You just can’t do it forever.
You can mope and groan and be miserable. You can’t do it forever.
You can be unfocused and ornery, but you’ll need to eventually get over it.
You can be cranky and moody, but we won’t deal with it forever.
You can be disillusioned for a while. Distraught because you weren’t treated the right away. Angry because it’s not fair.
But you should manage that, deal with it, process it and then get your head back in the game. Punch a pillow. Run 6 miles. Sing like a mother fucker alone in the car. Get it out.
And then get back to being yourself.
Take the time. Set a deadline for that time to end. And then end it.

the thing I like best about this post is that the message isn’t just to move on. It is to allow yourself to process, but then to move on. healthy growth. love it.

Thanks for the comment. I hadnt recognized a theme in my writing this week until seeing your comment and thinking about what I also wrote today: cry me a river https://abbesroad.blog/2017/05/19/cry-me-a-river/
