The gratitude lifestyle
Establishing a lifestyle based on gratitude demands creativity and upkeep…. (with recycled paper in our case)
As well as questions that make you think…
What started on Thanksgiving as a way for us to talk about what this holiday means in our family has become regular practice.
It’s a way for us to prompt family discussion on the days when we’re feeling a bit tired or forlorn. Everyone has to participate. If you are visiting for dinner, you are in it, too. It makes us giggle and be kind. It makes us think of nice things to say when sometimes we aren’t feeling very nice or had not nice things happen during the day.
Everyone has to answer the same number of questions, my son decides. Although sometimes he takes more. Soon, he’ll be reading them himself. But for now, we help him.
We each have at least two that have our names on them. Those are only for us and focus on our favorite things.
This is one of my favorite things.
what a wonderful practice!
