Limits

October 31, 2016

I’m no superhero. You know it and I know it.

But I can impress my son with my strength. Wow him by knowing what he did at school before he tells me. Amaze him with my knowledge of silly songs and random facts.

He understands I have limits. “Mama knows everything” doesn’t fly with him any longer.

My weakness? The rub? My downfall?  Czech language. He has a secret language with his tata. And while I can sometimes surprise him by knowing what they are speaking about, I usually don’t.

He has identified a clear weakness, a gap in my knowledge. I thought I’d hold my own until he started learning new math.
