People give you dirty looks instead of saying excuse me. But the gas stations provide plastic gloves so you can keep your hands clean when filling up your car.
Beer is cheaper than water, and a restaurant will charge you for the small side dish of ketchup. You may even be charged more for a half portion of a dish. They don’t offer a kid’s menu nor do most places provide a to-go container. You eat what you are served.
On rainy days, people flock to the forest, or really anywhere there are trees, to hunt mushrooms. You see them in the countryside as well as on the metro heading back to their Prague flats with overflowing baskets.
I’m mid-stay in my one-month+ visit to the Czech Republic.
