Why not me?

It can be interpreted an awful lot like woe is me. 

But what question do you need to ask yourself to get to the answer that self pitying is ok? None. That should never be the answer. It’s never the correct answer. 

Why not? Woe is me. Poor me. Wah. 

Pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Look for a new idiom with which you can self identify. Something more along the lines of…will wonders never cease!
