Choices

You chose anger instead of peace. Now you’re angry about how hostile it’s become.

You chose hate instead of goodwill. Now the hate seems to overwhelm your choices.

You  lash out seemingly without control, without rhyme or reason. Where kindness used to live, now there is only cruelty. Your aim is to inflict pain and punishment. Only you know your why. Perhaps you’ve forgotten it. Lost forever in your ill will.

But at any point in time, you can choose to stop. Different decisions. Smarter ones. They will impact your life and everything within it. You have free will.

Trains can stop barreling down the track. There are countless forks in this road.
