Not every bag has a dog in it
April 17, 2016
When everything is new to you, when you are experiencing parts of the world for the first time, the concept of exceptions is a foreign one. And so it is to a young child living through so many firsts. You see one thing a certain way. When you see something else similar, you assume it is also that same way.
And so it was a while back when my son, who had often seen our friend put his little Yorkshire Terrier in a bag, assumed every other bag like it had a dog in it.
Alas, not every bag has a dog in it. But wouldn’t it be fun if they did?

Not really our friend and his dog, but you get the picture.
