Training
I go to this great place for an exercise bootcamp. I really love it, even though it was the site of the accident that broke my ankle and put me out of commission for almost 7 months.
As an alternative to a gym membership, it does not compare. I don't have to worry about finding the motivation to push myself at this place. I've got a room full of hardcore folks exercising with me that motivate me – mostly because I don't want to look like an ass. The workouts every day are different, and the trainers work muscles on me that I didn't know I have.
This great place has a fun blog where they post success stories about members, highlight photos from classes, tips and lots more. They've never asked me to post my story about my bootcamp successes. Shocker. Since I'm still feeling like I've got a of ways to go to get back into the pretty good shape I was in pre-broken ankle, I decided to write my own bootcamp success story:
After being out of the IC for nearly 7 months from injury, I was THRILLED to be able to get back in the game and start working on my fitness again. This past weekend, I really felt like my hard work was starting to pay off again.
As I lifted my first cold beer to my lips, I caught a glimpse of my strong bicep out of the corner of my eye. I felt my quad pulsate from the burn of all those squats when I pushed my chair back to lounge. As I threw back beer after beer, my arm never weakened. When it needed a break, I easily shifted the weight to my other arm that was ready to pick up the slack.
A few more months of this, and I'll be back at 100%. Go me.
nice going ma! you haven’t missed a beat!
